Further to her successful presentation at the House of Commons in July, Lavinia Scott addressed an EDCM fringe meeting at the Liberal Democrat conference.

Lavinia, an Afasic Youth Group member, spoke to the conference about the problems faced by young people with SLI. She outlined the difficulties encountered when dealing with doctors and therapists and the need for clearer communication by professionals. Lavinia has also been invited to speak at the Labour Party conference.
