Proposed changes to Speech and Language Therapy provision in County Durham and Darlington – make sure your views are heard
Once more Afasic is urging parents and carers to have their say on service provision in County Durham and Darlington. You may have seen articles in the local press about plans by the PCT to re-procure Speech and Language and Occupational Therapy Services for children. NHS County Durham and Darlington are holding a consultation event for parents and carers around the future of children’s therapy services on 4 March, from 6pm to 8pm, in the Town Hall, Durham City – see flyer below:

STOP PRESS: A further meeting on 7 March, from 6pm to 8pm in Darlington has been added. See details below.
Calling all Parents and Carers - 7 March (365.2 KB, 152 hits)
In view of the cuts to speech and language therapy provision across the country, (see our item on nationwide cuts to services), it is crucial that the voices of parents and carers are heard. If it’s not possible for you to attend this event you can still have your say by completing a short online questionnaire.
