The other charity is Pilgrim Bandits, supporting wounded servicemen.</p>
<p>Chair of Afasic Worcestershire local Group, Bryony Walker, attended the reception following the election of the new civic head, at which there were many civic dignitaries, all bedecked with glittering chains. Bryony was asked to say a few words about Afasic and the work we do and she explained that Afasic would hope to use the funds to provide an event in Bromsgrove itself, for the local people, which was well received. There will be several events during the year and these will provide more opportunities to speak and spread the word about Afasic.</p>
<p>We are very grateful to Helen for choosing Afasic to benefit from her year in office, especially in what is our 45th Anniversary Year. <a href="http://www.bromsgroveadvertiser.co.uk/news/10425304.Bromsgrove_District_Council_has_new" target="_blank">A brief press report can be found at the Bromsgrove Advertiser website</a>.</p>
