Afasic needs as many members as possible as this adds to the strength it has behind its arguments when dealing with local education authorities, local and central government. It also provides a vital source of income and helps to spread awareness of speech and language impairments.

Membership is open to anybody, whether you are a family of a child with a speech, language or communication impairment, a young person with such an impairment, a concerned grandparent, a teacher or therapist working with such a child, a student therapist, a school, or a speech and language therapy service, all are welcome to join.

Typical annual membership rate is just £15 (please see membership form below for details). You can now apply and pay for membership online on our secure site - it's quick and simple.

Afasic News

The members newsletter that enables our members to keep up to date with developments in research, speech and language therapy and education. There are regular features on special educational law, new publications and resources for parents and professionals, case studies, and news on the work of Afasic across the UK. Afasic News is published three times a year and is free to all Afasic members.

To become a member simply click on the link above for the membership form, print the form, complete it and send it off to us with your payment. The best method to pay is by standing order as this makes sure you don't miss out on anything and keeps down our administration costs. If you are a taxpayer then please complete the "Gift Aid Declaration" form and send this in with your membership form. It will enable us to add 28p for every Pound that you send us, at no extra cost to you.
