Afasic local groupsParents often want to talk to other parents, share experiences and concerns, and get together to help campaign for better services in their area. Afasic England has a number of local groups and contacts that would like to hear from you.

Details of local group meetings in North Surrey, Norwich, Stockport and west London.

NORTH SURREY
We have two support meetings a month, where you can meet other parents, voice your concerns, and have a chat. Maria holds a meeting in her Ashtead home, usually in the evening on the first Monday of the month.

A new support group in Norwich has arranged some local meetings for parents with SLI children. The next meetings:

NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
This is a new group for 2013. The next meeting will take place on:

10.30am, Tuesday 9 April, Newfield Dairy Ice cream Parlour. For directions go to Newfield Ice Cream website. This meeting is for adults and children and siblings are very welcome.

West London

A West London support group for parents with SLI children is being started in Shepherds Bush.

The introductory meeting was held on Saturday 24 September 2011.
