North East London Youth Project
The Afasic Youth Project is a unique provision for young people aged 11-19 who are affected by the hidden disability of speech, language and communication impairments.
The project provides a social meeting place for them; encourages them to form friendships in a supportive atmosphere; develops their social, life and team working skills; and reduces their social isolation.
The Youth Project takes place on a Friday evening in Hainault. For further details, please contact the Youth Project.
Members of the Afasic Youth Project leapt at the chance to create their own film in the LOCO London Film Festival 2014.
School of Spooky Slapstick’s LOCO Goes Gothic’s free workshop gave young people (and their supporting staff) a chance to communicate highly effectively and entertainingly without words and have so much fun in the process.
With many thanks to LOCO and the workshop’s creator Francesca Reid who put this chance our way.
