In readiness for the biggest changes to the SEN system in England for more than thirty years, the Government recently published draft versions of the new SEN Code of Practice and Regulations.

A consultation was held on the wording of  both, as well as the arrangements for the transition to the new system, and you can read Afasic’s response here.

The SEN reforms are due to be introduced in September 2014, once the Children and Families Bill, which will change the statutory elements of the system, has received Royal Assent. You can follow the progress of the Children and Families Bill here.
