Greg Clarke, the Minister responsible for universities, has just released a statement announcing that the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills will be delaying the reforms of the Disabled Students Allowance scheduled for 2015. There will now be no significant changes until the academic year 2016 – 2017. This decision was taken in response to concerns raised by representatives of disabled students and other interested parties. These include the Special Educational Consortium (SEC), of which Afasic is a member.
