Edward Timpson, the Education Minister responsible for SEN, and Jane Ellison his counterpart at the Department of Health, recently sent a written response to issues raised by the Co-Chairs of the National Network of Parent Carer Forum. Among other things, they pledge to
- Do more about SEND Support
- Explore ways of boosting CCGs’ (Clinical Commissioning Groups) engagement with Parents and Carers
- Consider ways of building on the, currently quite weak, data on the health needs of children with SEND
