Afasic summer activities for children who have difficulties talking and understandingWith your help, some of the many children we represent, who have a very real (but often hidden disability) of Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) will be able to enjoy a fantastic activity day this summer!

Activities previously offered range from, go karting, pottery classes, photography days, travel challenges, hog roasts and duck racing – indeed something for the whole family to enjoy together. With the help of our donors, we hope to arrange at least one activity per week in Wales for children and their families this summer.

Unfortunately, due to limited funding not all of the activities can currently go ahead, but if just 200 people make a donation of £25, ALL of the activities will be able to take place this summer.

By making a donation, you will make sure a child has a fantastic fun-filled day alongside other like-minded children and families. These days are vital for both the child and their family as they provide a safe environment where parents know their child will be accepted and also provide a chance to meet and socialise with other families in the same boat. They are fantastic days and really do make for a truly memorable summer experience.

One parent commented on a previous activity day ‘it brought tears to my eyes to see my daughter interacting with young people her own age and so keen to tell us all she had done. She was up early the next day to get there as soon as possible.’

We very much hope you will consider making a gift towards these summer activity days. If you would like to make a donation, click on the button below!
