During May Linda Lascelles and Deborah Kalinke set themselves the challenge of walking at least 10,000 steps a day walking their dogs on the South Downs. They ended up walking 225 miles and raising over £3,000 between them for Afasic!

We are very grateful to the 10 cyclists who took part in our socially distanced 45-mile bike ride in the Chiltern Hills in September. The weather was cold and very windy, but spirits remained high and everyone made it safely round a very scenic route.

Congratulations to Richard (pictured right) & Stuart who successfully completed the ‘virtual’ London Marathon on 4th October, despite the terrible weather! Many thanks to them, their support crews, and their sponsors for helping to raise much needed funds for Afasic.

Good luck to David Hill whose challenge is to swim outdoors at least 3 times a month from November to March, without a wetsuit, in Cumbria! Rather him than me!

All of these people have taken up the challenge to raise much needed funds for Afasic. If you can do your own sponsored ride, walk, swim or run to raise funds for Afasic it really will help to make a difference for children and families across the country in these very difficult times for all of us.
