Support for parents is provided primarily through:
- School Transition Courses, held in the summer holidays for children moving on to Secondary School.
- Our pioneering DLD Together Training Courses for parents.
- Our Parents’ Telephone Helpline.
Primary to Secondary School Transition Courses
Is your child moving from Primary School to Secondary School and do you feel they would benefit from additional help with managing this transition? This week long course takes place in the summer holidays and we try to arrange as many courses as possible each year, in many areas, with the help of school staff, speech and language therapists and volunteers. DLD Together, Online Course for Parents
This online course usually runs one evening per week for 7 weeks. It is for parents/carers of children diagnosed with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).

Parent Telephone Helpline
Our Parent Telephone Helpline is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10.30am to 4.00pm. Outside of these times, or if you prefer, there is an option to leave an email enquiry and Alison, our Helpline Manager will get back to you.
